The Erchonia, or low-level laser-emitting device, will be aligned over the treatment area where wave-lengths of light are emanated onto the skin. Housed within the cells are the mitochondria, which are the cells energy manufacturer.  Each cell is a receptor, capable of absorbing distinct parameters of light. Your cells will absorb the light energy and convert it into cell energy which enhances enzyme activity, electron transport, mitochondrial respiration, and adenosine triphosphate (ATP) production. Consequently, by altering the cellular redox state, LLLT induces the activation of numerous intracellular signalling pathways, and alters the affinity of transcription factors concerned with cell proliferation, survival, repair, and regeneration.
